GCC Executive Salary Benchmarking Tool

Real compensation ranges for 566 roles — from entry-level to C-suite — across 17 sectors in the UAE, drawn from PCG’s 2026 MENA Compensation Research.

Eight things this year’s benchmark reveals

Drawn directly from PCG's 566-role, 17-sector 2026 UAE compensation benchmark.

AED 390K
Banking’s top executive role tops the entire benchmark
CEO / Managing Director in Banking & Financial Services carries the highest median of all 566 roles PCG tracks — AED 390K/month, ranging AED 180K–600K.
+44%
The first promotion pays off the most
Moving from Junior to Mid level brings an average +44% pay increase across roles benchmarked at both levels — bigger than the next step up, Mid to Senior, which averages +40%. Useful for planning when a move is genuinely worth it.
2.6x
Same seniority, very different pay by sector
Director-level pay averages AED 131.5K/month in General Management but AED 50.8K in Retail & E-Commerce — a 2.6x gap at the identical level. Title alone doesn’t tell you the range; sector does.
370%
Some roles have almost no standard rate
Credit Manager (Mid, Finance & Accounting) ranges from AED 10K to AED 47K/month — the widest spread in the benchmark. A role worth negotiating hard on, and one employers should price case by case, not off a rate card.
19%
Others are tightly standardized
Category Manager (Mid, Marketing & Communications) ranges just AED 32K–38K/month — the narrowest spread PCG tracks. Little negotiation room either way, but also low hiring risk.
100%
Entry-level pay is almost as unpredictable as senior pay
Junior-level roles show an average 100% min-to-max spread — wider than Director or VP level (both ~83%). Early-career pay varies more than you’d expect, so it genuinely pays to compare offers.
47%
Three sectors make up nearly half the benchmark
Retail & E-Commerce, Technology & Digital and Sales & Business Development together account for 267 of 566 roles — where PCG sees the deepest, most granular hiring activity.
2x
Most roles are tracked across multiple seniority levels
566 benchmark rows map to just 287 distinct roles — most roles have two or more levels benchmarked, so you can see a real trajectory, not just a single snapshot.

How these numbers are built

PCG's benchmark methodology is a structured five-step process designed to produce figures that are statistically defensible and validated against real market activity.

01
Source
Ingestion
Published GCC market compensation guides are read and every role data point is systematically extracted.
→
02
Role
Normalisation
Similar titles are grouped under a single PCG standard role taxonomy.
→
03
Cross-Source
Alignment
Figures for each normalised role are grouped and compared across sources.
→
04
Statistical
Analysis
Min, max, midpoint and spread are calculated; outliers are flagged.
→
05
Cross-Checked vs
Real Placements
Final figures are checked against PCG's own placement activity before publication.
01

Industry benchmark data

Published GCC market compensation guides are read and every role data point is systematically extracted and normalised under a single PCG role taxonomy, so equivalent titles across different sources are compared on the same basis.

02

Cross-referenced against real placements

Every benchmark is checked against PCG's own placement activity — offers extended, offers rejected, counter-offers tendered, and packages accepted across the UAE, KSA and Qatar. Where industry data and lived market experience diverge, the figure is adjusted to reflect what candidates are genuinely accepting.

03

Reviewed for outliers

Any figure that sits far outside the pattern for its role, level and market is flagged and re-checked before publication, so a single unusual data point can't distort the range shown here.

04

Checked against live job postings

Roles and ranges are checked against what employers are currently advertising across regional job portals, so PCG's figures stay aligned with real market demand — not only agency-reported activity. This is a directional check, not a data source, and figures remain guidance only.
